Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Capture Manager to support capture initiatives across Southern, Central, and Latin America. You will assist in identifying and pursuing business opportunities, preparing capture materials, and coordinating with regional teams. You will play a key role in ensuring that capture efforts are organized, accurate, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead all capture functions to a specific opportunity once names “Capture Manager” and is responsible for the overall WIN.
- Responsible for building out capture planners.
- Responsible for completion of capture activities and action items.
- Responsible for building the capture team and holding kick-off meetings.
- Responsible for all capture team resources as well as receiving the approval and buy-in of the company’s key decision makers.
- Responsible for all capture gate reviews and the overall capture process.
- Lead and participate in gate reviews throughout the BD lifecycle.
- Responsible for intelligence gathering
- Directs research and analysis of intelligence
- Responsible for sourcing competitive information
- Works with members of capture team, including opportunity owners and operations staff, executives, pricing, finance, other BD team members, etc.
- Responsible for performing SWOT analysis and developing preliminary win themes
- Responsible for engaging other companies and individuals that are related to the opportunity
- Responsible for managing and influencing government stakeholders as appropriate
- Lead solutioning that results from quality intelligence and analysis
- Develop foundational information and baseline information that leads to winning management and technical approaches
- Collaborate with other BD team members and/or operations staff to build a winning solution
- Support and lead staffing as it relates to identifying candidates and key personnel
- Lead efforts to build a winning team, consisting of subcontractors or other teaming partners, as needed.
- Translate SWOT analysis into powerful, compliant, and compelling win themes and overall win story.
- Lead pricing strategy and collaborate with finance and operations staff to develop competitive pricing
- Lead targeted marketing activities that results from quality intelligence and analysis
- Influence government stakeholders via targeted marketing activities based on identified intelligence and analysis
- Collaborate with other BD team members and/or operations staff to both develop and deliver marketing material to the proper government stakeholders
- Responsible for executive summary development and inclusion of win themes and a win story that directly relates to the needs, issues and hot buttons of the customer.
- Gather basis for technical and management section and identify corresponding past performance and relevant corporate experience.
- Develop and prepare proposal templates and resources such as kickoff document, SharePoint site, resumes templates, etc.
- Gather buy-in of key proposal resources and develop resource matrices in advance of proposals to ensure that resources are lined up, available and ready to go.
- Drive activities and strategy as it relates to blue team
- Provide support for Planate as may be required.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- BA/BS in business, engineering or a technical related field of study
- MBA or PMP desirable but not requirement
- Minimum of fifteen years Project Management and/or Business Capture experience and 10 years in a leadership role
- Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers
- Working knowledge of US Government contracting, contract types/vehicles and procurement processes
- Extraordinary, social, written and presentation skills
- Must be a team-oriented multi-tasker with demonstrated strong reasoning
- Able to manage multiple projects
- Strong capability in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
- Able to form strategic partnerships
- Able to drive margin expansion
- Strong executive presence
- High energy and positive attitude
- Has the ability to take initiative
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, rapidly changing environment
- Proficient in English both written and verbal
