This role focuses on producing accurate 3D models and shop-drawing quality outputs derived directly from Revit, ensuring models reflect current design intent, field conditions, and approved revisions throughout the project lifecycle. The Revit Modeler collaborates closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and BIM teams to ensure coordination, constructability, and compliance with BIM standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop highly detailed Revit models at LOD 400–500, including fabrication-level details, installation-ready components, and as‑built conditions.
  • Create accurate 3D geometry, parametric families, assemblies, and systems based on design drawings, specifications, and manufacturer data.
  • Produce shop-drawing quality details, including connections, supports, hangers, penetrations, and equipment clearances.
  • Update models throughout the project lifecycle to reflect design changes, RFIs, redlines, and field-markups.
  • Generate precise 2D drawings, schedules, sections, and elevations extracted directly from the BIM model.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Revit modeling, specifically producing LOD 400–500 models for architectural, structural, or MEP disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency in developing highly detailed Revit models that include fabrication-level details, installation‑ready components, and as‑built conditions.
  • Skilled in creating accurate 3D geometry, parametric Revit families, assemblies, and system layouts based on design drawings, specifications, and manufacturer data.
  • Proven experience producing shop‑drawing quality details, including connections, supports, hangers, penetrations, and required clearances.
  • Demonstrated ability to update and maintain models throughout the project lifecycle, including incorporation of RFIs, redlines, design revisions, and field markups.
  • Proficient in generating precise 2D drawings, sections, elevations, schedules, and other deliverables directly from the BIM model.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other modelers.
  • Experience working with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, model management, and Revit worksharing.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, BEP (BIM Execution Plans), and QA/QC best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple models or project tasks simultaneously.
  • Preferably with experience creating or modifying custom families and model templates.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and respond to technical modeling issues as needed.
