The IT Intern will assist the IT department with various tasks to support the company's overall technology infrastructure. He/she will have hands-on experience in IT operations, asset management, and technical support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update IT asset inventory records, including hardware and software details.
  • Assist with the procurement process, including vendor communication and order tracking.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and deployment of IT hardware and software for end-users.
  • Help maintain documentation related to software licenses, warranties, and compliance.
  • Assist in the decommissioning and disposal of outdated or non-functional IT assets.
  • Generate and analyze reports on IT asset usage, inventory levels, and compliance status.
  • Provide support to end-users and participate in training sessions on IT asset management practices.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware, software components, and IT asset management principles.
  • Familiarity with basic IT troubleshooting and support processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
