Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the EHRM NRM Project Support Services project at the Portland Campus. You will coordinate construction activities, manage submittals, monitor schedules, conduct inspections, maintain project documentation, address construction-related issues, and support project completion.
This position is contingent upon contract award. If awarded, the anticipated period of performance will be base year and one option year.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate submittal reviews and management of submittal process
- Review of submittals and provide escort duties.
- Track availability of long lead items and ensure impact to schedule is documented and communicated.
- Review and monitor construction phase schedules, with emphasis on milestones, phasing, workflow, material deliveries, and inspection and testing dates.
- Attend and support progress meetings; following up on Government actions.
- Field verification of as-builts, assist with creation and updates of as-builts.
- Perform inspections and provide reports to COR on work that require correction.
- Assist with development of courses of action for issues.
- Provide troubleshooting support.
- Support Commissioning.
- Perform additional construction support related services, including surveys and field investigation.
- Advise the government and make recommendations to the COR/CO for situations involving potential contract modifications or potential claims analysis.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university in lieu of a degree, fifteen (15) years of directly related experience.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects, including supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management, program budgeting, and overall project management activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project construction team members.
- Healthcare project/facility experience preferred.
- Provide EHRM project construction management support.
