The Human Resource Manager is an onsite, full-time position that will be responsible for managing all Human Resources activities in support of the Planate Kenya office. This includes ensuring all required human resource functions are effectively managed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Kenya office human resource activities, employees and contractors
  • Support the full recruitment process by creating job postings, screening candidates, and recommending qualified applicants to hiring managers.
  • Conduct and manage complete salary negotiation and hiring
  • Ensure alignment with local labor regulations and company standards
  • Manage the benefits and salary administration program
  • Address employee grievances, lead negotiations, and ensure adherence to labor laws
  • Perform training and development as needed
  • Manage performance assessment program for employees
  • Facilitate smooth integration of new hires into the organization
  • Develop HR Management plans as needed
  • Develop and manage county specific HR programs
  • Manage the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Review and provide feedback on the employee handbook and procedures manual/s
  • Prepare reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, business administration or a related field
  • At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources as either a Supervisor or Manager
  • Strong, demonstrated proficiency with communication skills, influence, adaptability/flexibility, and building relationships
  • Working knowledge of all Human Resource functions
  • Proficient in HRIS platforms and data management
  • Experienced in employee engagement and organizational development initiatives
  • Possesses advanced research skills and excels in stakeholder engagement to support organizational objectives
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in managing complex tasks and ensuring compliance
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills
