Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking an experienced Safety and Health Program Manager who is responsible for construction safety and health programs for the project site. You will ensure full compliance with safety regulations, host country laws, and project requirements while planning and monitoring safety activities, conducting site inspections, and promoting safe work practices. You will also coordinate with the project team, contractors, and workers to mitigate risks and maintain safe working conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract and the location of assignment is in Cyprus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage site safety and health programs.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and applicable safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science/Technology, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with construction safety and health programs for similar projects.
- Completion of OSHA-30 Hour Construction Training course with valid certificate.
- Alternative option: project level safety manager with same experience and OSHA-30 requirement.
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Ability to work on site as project needs require.
- Strong knowledge of safety rules, hazard control, and risk management.
- Ability to prepare and provide list of similar past projects, including project year, project type, role, and responsibilities.
