Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent who will manage on-site construction work and project coordination from Notice to Proceed (NTP) until project completion and turnover to the U.S. Government. You will ensure compliance with project requirements, host country codes, standards, and construction practices; coordinate daily site activities; supervise project personnel; monitor work progress; and ensure safe and efficient project execution. You will also support communication among project team members and help achieve project goals on schedule.

 

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract and the location of assignment is in Cyprus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise daily construction site operations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, workforce activities, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Enforce safety procedures and site compliance requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and address field issues.
  • Coordinate project activities to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with construction work and activities similar to project requirements.
  • Knowledge of host country codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English
  • Ability to work on site from Notice to Proceed (NTP) until project completion and turnover.
  • Experience in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, materials, finishes, or related construction work.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate project personnel throughout project duration.
  • Ability to prepare and provide a list of similar past projects, including project year, project type, role, and responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving ability.
