Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager who will implement and oversee of construction quality control programs for projects of similar size and type. You will ensure compliance with project requirements, host country codes, standards, and construction practices, while conducting site inspections, maintaining quality control records, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve quality issues, and supporting successful project completion through effective quality assurance and on-site oversight. 

 

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract and the location of assignment is in Cyprus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan.
  • Conduct inspections and quality assurance reviews to verify compliance with contract requirements.
  • Monitor workmanship, materials, and construction activities for conformance to specifications.
  • Identify deficiencies and oversee corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality control documentation, reports, and inspection records.
  • Coordinate quality-related activities with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science/Technology, or Construction Management.
  • More than 5 years of experience in construction quality control for projects of similar size and type.
  • Knowledge of host country codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Ability to work on site as project needs.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English
  • Ability to prepare and provide a list of similar past projects, including project year, project type, role, and key responsibilities.
  • Strong quality control, documentation, inspection, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work with clients, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
